topik lapan..data warehouse~

This topic is discuss about accessing organizational information in data warehouse. Data warehouse is a logical collection of information that had been gathered from many different operational database. The organizations has found tremendous value in its data warehouse by being able to make business decisions about customers’ regional needs. They also use data warehouse information to perform the following:
·        Base labor budget on actual number of guests served perhour
·        Develop promotion sale item analysis
·         Determine theoritical and actual costs of products

On my opinion, data warehouse is a ‘place’ that stored many information. It is exist with the information that has been gather and combine from the database and its contains very importance information to an organization. The organization can get the information about the demand market all around the world. It can also be a reference to develop the business.

Business Intelligence

It’s refer to applications and technologies that are used to gather, provide access to, and analyze data and information to support decision making efforts. It is about the collecting information, discerning petterns and meaning in the information, and responding to the resultant information. The organization that enabling business intelligence can gain sustainable competitive advantage. Even the smallest company can do sophisticated analysis today with the BI software.

that all,okbai..

tajuk 7..database..database..storing organizational information~

now, this chapter is about storing DATABASE. Datebase is software that maintains information about various types of objects (inventory), events (transactions), people (employees), and places (warehouse). Database models are include:
·        Hierarchical database model
·        Network database model
·        Relational database model
Advantages of organization has their own database too many. With the database models in the system of organization,it will increased flexibility, increased scability and performance, reduced information redundancy, increase information integrity, and increase information security. With the great and well design database, it should  handle changes quickly and easily, provide users with different views, and scale to meet increase demand while maintaining acceptable performance levels. With the existance of database, it also can reduce the duplication of information or storing the same information in multiple places because inconsistency is one of the primary problems with redundant information.

In my own opinion, database is act like a tools of storing the information either its is importance or not. So, the database system must be protect carefully. It is also represent of the organization. All of information about the company is in that database,so, if it is fall into the wrong person, the organization will got a BIG PROBLEM to be face..

So, thats all from me,kbai.

chapter 6 la pulok...valuing organizational information~

Now it is chapter 6. It is about how to valuing organizational information. Organizational information are classified by two; transactional and anatycal information. Transactional information is information about the work unit or organization performance. Its primary purpose is to support the performing of daily operational tasks. For example, withdrawing cash from an ATM, making an airline reservation or purchasing stocks. It is very useful to organization to when they performing operational tasks and repetitives decisions such as analyzing daily sales reports and production schedules to determine how much inventory to carry. Anatycal information is about to support the performing of managerial tasks. It is includes with transactional information and other information such as market and industry information. Example, trends, sales, product statistic and future growth projections.

In my own opinion, this two types of information are very useful to an organization for them to build up and improve their business. With such this unique system of information, an organization also can plan their owns strategy to compete with each other because these information show about market demands nowadays.

That all,kbai.

CHAPTER 5...just learn and read it ^___^

Okay, this chapter is related about the previous topic. On the previous topic, i had learn about the way and the strategic initiative, so this topic is about who is responsible to manage the strategic. The recent IT-related strategic positions are:
·         Chief information officer (CIO)
·         Chief technology officer (CTO)
·         Chief security officer (CSO)
·         Chief privacy officer (CPO)
·         Chief Knowledge officer (CKO)

CIO is to oversees all uses of IT and ensures the strategic alignment of IT with business goals and objectives.CTO responsible for ensuring the thoughput, speed, accuracy, availability and realibilty of IT.CSO is responsible for ensuring the security of IT systems.CPO is responsible for ensuring the ethical and legal use of information.CKO is responsible for collecting, maintaining, and distributing the organization’s knowledge. The person who are hold this position are responsible to each of their tasks themselves. This person also will make the organization become more effective and efficient.

Kbai.

Chapter 4 : Measuring the Success of Strategic Initiatives

In this chapter, i learn a lot of thing. Miss Salina is a great when she give the lecture about this topic. Now, i can see how the organization or company operates by apply the particular in this chapter. First of all, in this topic i had learn about IT metrics. What is IT metrics?Okay, IT is stand for Information Technology and metrics are details measures that feed to bussines drivers. In other words, IT metrics are used to measure the performance the company. For example, TESCO are introduce customers to their members card. For customers, that members card allowed them to get discounts on their buying but it must based on term and condition. But for the TESCO themselves, the members card are used to analysis about what are their customers purchased everyday, seek the items that most of customers purchased or in other words, TESCO use the members card to do research about the customers  demand daily and the customers behaviour. With the members card and such that information, TESCO can plan and measure the new strategy to develop their bussines.

In my opinion, this chapter are interesting and are useful..
Okay, next chapter will become more interesting..so wait and enjoy this chapter first.

CHAPTER 3: STRATEGIC INITIATIVES FOR IMPLEMENTING COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES

Whats about the chapter?Look interesting right? So, now i want to show the application in this particular topic in the organization. There are 4 strategic initiatives:
  • ·         Supply chain management (SCM)
  • ·         Customer relationship management (CRM)
  • ·         Business process reengineering (BPR)
  • ·         Enterprise resource planning (ERP)

For supply chain management, it is about the management of flows between and among stages in a supply chain. It importance purpose is to maximize total supply chain effectiveness and profitability. For example, in JUSCO the cashier will scan the product that purchase by customer and that information will send to the store and the store will send that information to supplier. With such this information or management, it will develop the JUSCO business. For CRM, its about the management to make a good relationship with customer. This strategic is used to gather the information or do research about the customer behaviour to maintain and increase the profit. For example, JUSCO,make discounts of their product monthly to maintain their customers loyalty.

MGT 300, Chapter 2 : Identifying Competitive Advantages

In this chapter, I have learned ways to survive and thrive of an organization in industry.

i) Competitive Advantage
a service or product that an organization's customers place a greater value on than similar offerings from other competitor. For example sports clothing's companies from Nike and Adidas. They sells a same products;shoes,t-shirt,tracksuit,socks and others.
*this is shoe's from adidas, the predator

*this is nike, the mercurial

ii) First mover advantage
organization impact its market shar by being first to market with a competitive advantage
for example, before air asia enter to the industry,MAS is a single company that involve in airplane.

Porter 's Five Forces Model
i) Buyer Power
ability of buyers to directly impact the price they are willing to pay for an item.
high as customers have many choices.
'Customers Always Right'

ii) Supplier Power
ability of supplier to directly the price they are charging for supplies.
high as there are limited product's manufacturers to choose from.

iii) Threat of Substitute Products or Services
high as there are numerous transportation alternatives

iv) Threat of New Entrants
high as new airlines are continuously the market

v) Rivalry Among Existing Competition
high when competition is fierce in a market and low when competition is more complacent

Business Driven Technology (MGT 300) : Chapter 1

Nowadays, technology are important in whatever circumstances and conditions. This semester, i have to learn the technology in business. Here, the learning outcome that I got from the chapter 1;- Information Technology's Role in Business.

Information technology (IT) is a field concerned with the use of technology in managing and processing information. It means the information nowadays have many and different ways to develop or to spread to the others people and organizations.  It also give many benefits to the human. For example the existence of computer, mobile phone and so on,give the easy ways to human where the can give the information to others through them or keep the data safely.

Management Information Systems is a business function just as marketing, finance, operations and human resources are business functions. Actually, its also known as department in organizations and each departments are different systems.

*this is example of organization with its department

In the IT there are data, information, and business intelligence (BI), IT Resources, and IT Cultures. Data is the facts that describe all about of an event. Information is data converted into a details and BI is the applicant and technology that are used in the process to to get data and decide it. IT Resources is a combination of the people use,IT to work with and information. In IT Cultures, there are 4 types of information;- Information Functional, Information Sharing, Information Inquiring, and Information Discovery.

Dendamm !

dendam.....

Kita merisik awal, orang tolak pinangan. Orang merisik kemudian, orang menerima pinangan. Macam mana tak dendam ye tak ? Ni contoh je. Tiada kena mengena dengan aku pun. Hehe.Kadang-kadang kita dendam sebab enggan memaafkan dan taknak mengalah. Sebab apa ? hati masih kotor, jiwa masih gelap, ego yg melebihi.
Yg paling teruk sekali, talian silaturrahim terputus. Kita sebagai manusia hendak la bersederhana dlm semua situasi. Jgn kita menilai seseorang dari perkara buruk yg dia pernah lakukan, jika tidak org pn akn pandang kita begitu bro. Siapa la kita nak menilai org lain??? hakim pun kadang kadang tak betul 100%.

ELAKKAN KAN KONTROVESI,KEKALKAN KONSENTRASI,HAPUSKAN DENDAM!!
*kalau nak marah sangat, jgn lama lama, 4 . 5 minit je. lebih dari tu dah kira dendam..dosa tu kalau dendam~
